What driver visa involves.
A UAE driver visa is a domestic-worker residency processed through a Tadbeer centre — the government-licensed domestic recruitment agency. Driver falls under the UAE Domestic Workers Law (Federal Law No. 10 of 2017) which sets minimum salary, accommodation, working hours, leave entitlement, and end-of- service rules. Sponsor must hold UAE residency with AED 25,000+ basic monthly salary and suitable accommodation. Driver salary minimum AED 1,500/month plus accommodation, food, medical insurance, annual leave with return ticket, and end-of-service gratuity. Tadbeer handles the full chain from candidate sourcing through visa issuance.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sponsor a driver in the UAE?
Yes — through a Tadbeer-licensed domestic-worker recruitment agency. Driver visas fall under the same Domestic Workers Law (Federal Law No. 10 of 2017) as maids and other household staff. Sponsor must hold UAE residency with AED 25,000+ monthly basic salary, suitable accommodation, and meet driver-specific accommodation rules (some include separate living quarters).
What's the difference between driver visa and chauffeur visa?
Driver visa (domestic): personal driver employed by household, sponsored under Domestic Workers Law via Tadbeer. Used for family transport, school runs, personal errands. Chauffeur visa (commercial): driver employed by a transport / limousine company, sponsored under standard MOHRE employment visa. Used for commercial transport service. The two are different legal regimes.
Can I bring a driver from my country of origin?
Yes via Tadbeer's recruitment program. Tadbeer can sponsor candidate from country of origin (Philippines, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal — most common driver-supply countries), arrange travel, and process visa. Direct hire by sponsor without Tadbeer is not permitted under UAE law.
