Dubai DED publishes a public verification portal at eservices.dubaided.gov.ae where any UAE trade licence can be verified — activity, expiry, status. The tool below validates the licence number format locally (no data sent), then deep-links to the official DED verification page so you can confirm activity scope, expiry date, and current status (active / expired / cancelled). YABS recommends licence verification before signing any meaningful B2B contract.
Enter a Dubai DED or Abu Dhabi DED licence number above. We validate format and link to the official verification portal.
Frequently asked questions
How do I verify a Dubai trade licence?
Use Dubai DED's official verification portal at eservices.dubaided.gov.ae. Enter the licence number; the portal returns activity, expiry date, and status (active / expired / cancelled). The tool above validates format locally and provides a direct deep-link to the DED portal.
What does Dubai trade licence format look like?
Dubai DED licences are typically 6–8 digit numbers. Some legacy licences carry a 'CN-' prefix (commercial number). Free zone authority licences have their own formats — DMCC uses XXXXXX, IFZA uses 7-digit numbers, JAFZA uses different schemes. The tool above recognises Dubai DED + Abu Dhabi DED formats.
Why verify a trade licence?
Three scenarios. (1) Counter-party due diligence — before signing a B2B contract, supplier agreement, or partnership. (2) Tender qualification — government and large-enterprise tenders require active licence verification. (3) Banking KYC — banks verify counter-parties as part of corporate-account due diligence.
What if licence is expired?
An expired Dubai DED licence is technically inactive — contracts signed during the expired period can be unenforceable, and the licensee cannot legally operate. Late renewal triggers AED 250/month penalty up to AED 5,000. After 3 months unrenewed, the licence is suspended; after 1 year, may be cancelled. If you discover a counter-party's licence has expired, raise it with them before contracting.
Need to renew your own licence?
YABS coordinates Dubai DED renewal 30 days before expiry. AED 11,500+ government fees + AED 850 service. Late penalties prevented.
